First meals from garden

I did the first big harvest from the garden yesterday. Kale and peas. I was reminded of two things. One, I don't think I really like kale and I don't know why I keep planting it other than it is super good for you. And two, shelling peas in the shade is a nice way to spend an afternoon and really get your thoughts together.

  1. oh...this looks so good. I can't say I've ever eaten kale. I wouldn't know what to do with it, but it all looks extra good because it came from your yard!!
    p.s. happy pool season!

  2. I am so jealous! I love peas and for the last couple of years the rabbits have been getting mine as soon as they sprout. I managed to put cages around a couple little vines but they aren't producing yet.

But strawberries, lettuce and asparagus are plentiful, so I guess I shouldn't complain!
