I did whatever I wanted

Today I woke up early and decided to do what I wanted to do first, for a change.

I didn't even feed my kids, and guess what? They actually were able to locate and prepare food! Miraculous!

After coffee I gardened to my heart's content. I even bought some flowers.

I drank green juice for lunch, and cooked up steak and pasta salad, because that's what I wanted.

I made sure my whole yard and outdoor spaces looked amazing. My deck and porch are back in business for sipping and reading and writing.

I need to do this more.

Thrifted "Thursday"

Posting on Friday, but I hit the thrift yesterday!
Twenty stolen minutes killing time before the boy's drum lesson.
A few cool scores, $7 spent.

The elder son  and his dad went to scout camp.
The younger and I were on our own.
Play dates and Popsicles and having easy summer fun.
The week capped with our Cub Scout night at Huntington Park,
Home of the Columbus Clippers!
He and six of his buddies got to see a game and camp out on the outfield.
Today the men return, so there will be laundry and I'm sure a restaurant trip.

A little garden work took some of our time this weekend.
And a little baseball. Of course.
We had an impromptu lunch with Uncle Danny and Great Aunt Louise.
We saw a little rain, and watched a little tv.
Nice, to have nothing planned.
