Linking with Amanda

Spent much of my weekend curled up with the new Philippa Gregory novel.
Husband cooked chicken on the grill, and made Capresi Salad with garden tomatoes.
The big adventure was Stream Quality Monitoring at the Big Darby Creek with the Cub Scouts.
We caught, identified, counted, and released a host of larvae and creatures.
Aside from being fun, this helps the Ohio Dept. of Natural Resources to monitor the water quality.
And the quality was rated "excellent" based on the number and type of creatures we found.

  1. what a way great way to get the kids involved in caring for the environment!

  2. How educational and fun, insuring that our future generation takes care of nature!
